Characteristic Duties & Responsibilities (Include, but are not limited to):

1. Provides instruction for CTE Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security course(s);
2. Create and maintain all required documentation to support the CTE Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security course(s);
3. Demonstrate/instruct to students all related skills required of the course(s);
4. Utilize and maintain all related equipment;
5. Grade and record testing and skills components of the program;
6. Evaluate student outcomes and make recommendations for improvements;
7. Certified Classroom Teacher duties as per GCA-19(N).

 Minimum Qualifications:

1. South Dakota Department of Education CTE teacher certification in the area of Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security (may include alternative certification or CTE Instructor Educator Permit);

Recommended Qualifications:

1. Strong background in law enforcement, public safety and related occupations.

Part-time – One course per semester
