Characteristic Duties & Responsibilities (Include, but are not limited to):
- Provides instruction for CTE Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security course(s);
- Create and maintain all required documentation to support the CTE Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security course(s);
- Demonstrate/instruct to students all related skills required of the course(s);
- Utilize and maintain all related equipment;
- Grade and record testing and skills components of the program;
- Evaluate student outcomes and make recommendations for improvements;
- Certified Classroom Teacher duties as per GCA-19(N).
Minimum Qualifications:
- South Dakota Department of Education CTE teacher certification in the area of Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security (may include alternative certification or CTE Instructor Educator Permit);
Recommended Qualifications:
- Strong background in law enforcement, public safety and related occupations.
Part-time – One course per semester
